the pollyanna chronicals: engagement

i can't use this as my excuse for all of my missing posts, but the last few weeks have been a whirlwind as bill proposed on mother's day :)

i knew it was coming as we had been talking about it and picked out a ring but it was very unfair that he showed his parents the ring on mother's day and wouldn't let me wear it! apparently his dad agreed and yelled at him: 'how many presents did we let you see and not have??'

but bill wanted to do the proper thing and ask rj and mom for permission first ... and nothing was going to stop him from doing that!

after bill's parents left, we played catch with rj and cleaned up a bit. and that was the end of the ring talk for the day. i thought.

i was in the sunroom putting bones in her crate and feeding her. i turned around and bill was on his knee with the ring! 'i talked to your son, go pick out a white dress ... '

apparently he snuck in a call to mom and a talk with rj after his parents left!

of course i said yes! :)
